We gathered in Sombor. There were lesbians from Bačka Topola, Belgrade, Jagodina, Kikinda, Ljubljana, Niš, Novi Sad, Skopje, Zagreb & Zrenjanin. 64 of us continue working on lesbian visibility that we started on the first lesbian week at Pohorje, in 1997.

Meanwhile, since 1997, many political changes took place in our countries, which give the possibility to lobby lesbian & women’s rights.

International UN mission in Kosovo stopped aggression of Serbian military & police and established protectorate over the region. In this new period many women’s organizations have been founded in Kosovo, but the citizens of Albanian nationality still can’t enter Serbia. We’re very sorry.

• Last year, the citizens of Croatia chose the beginning of civil society and the end to the national leader
• Last month, the citizens of Yugoslavia chose the beginning of civil society and the end to the fascist leader
• This month, the citizens of Slovenia chose the political orientation of the left wing.

CUNT MANIFESTO

Cunt seeks & speaks a new language.

Lesbians recycle the hetero-linguistic code.

They make their own identities: whole, strong, valid, and different. We listened to each other. We heard about different experiences and how complex is lesbian existence in the hetero-patriarchal society. It wasn’t easy for us this year, but it was also wonderful.

We had workshops, debates, running & sport. Inside & outside. We encouraged each other. Together. Lesbian-stream, lesbian-yearning, lesbian-essence.

Each one of us makes her own theory.

Cunt pulls down phallic idols with orgasmic cry. Release from homophobia is a process in which we need each other.

Characteristic for the second lesbian week was that we had butch/femme debate in 3 parts till late hours, Irena’s ven do exercises, Jelena’s screaming in nature, feminist theatre, and CUNT’s dance… We spread lesbian solidarity.

It’s important that we’re all different and that we all bring thousand wonders to change the world.

VULVA ACTION

We were sitting by the porch & talked about what was the most important thing during these 6 days. We called this talk Vulva Action, and here’s what we said:

-I finally discovered my lesbian identity
-I heard some details from lesbian life I‘ve never thought of
-3 workshops were great
-Sport was important, I want more
-Cunt Manifesto is great- I hope it’ll come to my firm, where gay & lesbian language is forbidden, so that I could attach it on a notice board!
-Irena’s exercises were the best
-Screaming in nature, Jelena’s screaming

-I looked forward to all this; I lost my voice because I talked with everybody, and I’ll miss them badly
-Tomorrow it’ll be a complete shock- when I come back in "that" world

-I’ve never had a chance to meet women from Slovenia

-I feel great because we were so close & together.
